Been interviewing since March and got three job offers on the same day...

Weird day
Both of them were former employers so they know my work ethich (which is much better than you would think).

Now, keep in mind that I'm a 67 year old man...I was shocked that I was even considered for the jobs and got an interview.

I wasn't the first choice for a couple of the jobs - but they are government jobs and the process from application to job offer takes months. I suspect a few of their top candidates just got tired of waiting and took another job.

I'm pretty sure this is a direct result of COVID and people walking out in droves - and not in a hurry to find another job.

Whatever...I'm putting it in the "win" column.

Happy to hear the good news but tbh I feel a little sad at thought that at 67 you are in this position, I hope this is more to keep busy then a need for survival.

@EmilyMom Happily I make enough to live just on the retirement. But I wnat to keep working while I can - I've seen too many guys quit work and just sit on their butt - that's what I see myself doing. So I work as therapy :)

@SunshineGirl Thanks - I was getting so desperate I actually was going to go back to an old job that I hated. I figured I was going to take the first offer that came up (my contract is up in a couple of weeks and I didn't want to renew) and was resigned to working the soul-crushing job.

Thankfully the other employer came in first :)
