Another thing to discuss with you about my project

They have asked me kindly from the municipality if I can make them a better offer, budget wise.
The thing is, I cannot cut anything from the other expenses, I can only cut from my own payment.

I have calculated everything, talking to my accountant, getting another offer from another accountant, the taxes I will then need to pay by the end of the next year - 2027 - and it really is a lot- the greek system doesn't genuinely support small businesses at this point.

So I feel that if I cut from my funding, I won't be happy with the payment.

What am I doing ?

Explain to them that you need it that way to cover your expenses and taxes .. otherwise you will be doing it for free or worse .. but i guess you can consider it an investment in exposure as an artist you know a way to get your art out there and there might also be media coverage of it you know and then more work if people like it a lot.. who knows

@GoFish I have done that already in the past, that is, I have worked with the municipality for free for years, and later for a little bit of money. And truly, it is not any crazy amount in nowadays world, just a good pay for a job. Nothing extraordinary.

@Convivial I don't want to turn this into personal insults and debates. It is tricky to "subtly" remind something like that, I prefer to remain clear and speak about my intentions and budgeting..

@candycane That is another option, if I can remain firm like that. Or maybe cut a little that won't make all that much of a difference. Or not. I need to be decisive. I will meet with them tomorrow.
