The company I work for is apparently 'up for sale'... Currently I still get paid fortnightly so no need to panic yet. 8-)
A big railway company. Operates in several different areas of rail - primarily in three operating divisions namely coal, bulk freight, intermodal - all over Australia except TAS (it used to have TAS railways too at one time). If you add in the corporate/admin side that's an extra division in itself.
Been employed by the company since 2015. Worked in the rail industry now for 39 years.
Company is a publicly traded one and has a lot of foreign investment.
While I keep getting paid fortnightly I'm still safe.
If you saw corporate pr announcements that the business you worked for (esp a very large business) was up for sale would you immediately be worried? Would you start scoping out other jobs?
