What's the weirdest reason you got reprimanded for at work?

The last job I has was as a florist... I'd had more than a dozen jobs before, and never got this complaint,until this boss:

Boss: "You sigh too damn much. Customers might think you're not eager to help them!"


I know I don't breathe "correctly" which makes me sigh automatically to make up for it, but I still did my best to stop sighing. I was painfully aware, even.


And yet, my boss kept complaining for the same reason. She hadn't gotten any complaints, and yet, even after me telling her I don't breathe normally, she kept on telling me.

I lasted 3 months in that job, then became a disability pensioner against my will about a year later.


Side note: whenever I try to breathe "normally" I almost pass out after less than a minute. I'm still trying to figure out why this is the case.
