Does your organization do 360 reviews?
SlippingAway · 46-50, F
@DunningKruger No unfortunately not
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
@SlippingAway And I don't suppose speaking with HR about her would be a good idea?
SlippingAway · 46-50, F
@DunningKruger No I think that would just cause a hostile work environment for me. I need this job, I can't afford to make any waves at least not right now.

I basically learned how to change tires by myself because the only other guy at the shop, well, he's a great guy but he does expect a lot. Sometimes I could watch him and learn from that but when I was on my own, I was on my own.
And when I say change tires I mean actually taking the rubber tire off the metal rim and putting a new one on with a tire mounting machine (which btw hardly worked lol).
I changed tires for about a year before I even knew what a drop center was, which is pretty important. 😆
Is there any way you can do what I did and just watch your boss occasionally to learn from them? Or maybe it's not quite the same circumstance for you?

@SinlessOnslaught Unfortunately no I can't watch her, we are all kind of like islands and she would have to want me to watch her and that isn't going to happen. I do have a colleague here who has been a great help when I can't get what I need out of my boss. I am grateful for that at least.

@SlippingAway Just do what you can. Nobody can ask anything more of you.
Fieldmaster · 46-50, M
Oh man, that is awaful, jeeze. Someone needs to call her out.
Thank God no, although in one of my previous job one boss like that which resulted in massive head aches and problems for booth internal team and customers and embarcement.

Thankfully, I don't have that problem. If there is something I don't know how to do, my boss shows me how to do it hands on. He's cool af like that.
SlippingAway · 46-50, F
@HowtoDestroyAngels I am glad you don't have to deal with that, it's frustrating.

There are some people who are very desperate for attention and they are bossy over that. Don't sacrifice your inner peace behind those.

I hope that my employees think better of me than this.
SlippingAway · 46-50, F
@RosaMarie The fact that you care shows that you probably aren't like this
JackDaniels · 46-50, M
Yes but good thing he does not have much of one. I can manage him in my sleep. 😂
Fieldmaster · 46-50, M
Is it possible to ask if she can include you in all the communication?

@YoMomma I think she would prefer to not be a manager. The position was thrust upon her and I think she's still resentful for that even though that happened way before I was brought on.
