😤 frustrated..rant again

So I want to be a supervisor at my current job.
The board approved my tenacity, commend3d my leadership skills, 5 yrs never miseed a day for sickness. I dedicated my whole effort into knowing my co workers, helping others with disabilities and learning new skills in the job force. Micro manager boss man announced today hes retiring in 3 yrs and was opening up the floor for nominated suggestions from the co workers for a replacement..my name got brought up! I was excited, exsperiance is a plus, but he shoots me down due to educational training wasnt legit...meaning i worked this perr support stuff 5 yrs but no ACTUAL ACREDITED COLLEGE DEGREES! Because of that, the otger runner up has his dictorate, associate, and bachlors in sociology, physiology and a very long list of college credits..to my one yr of exsperiance with disabled adults. Not wanting to be salty nor petty i asked for a vote. 68 co workers, 2 staff and 4 supervision advisors voted. I got 64 votes! However, boss man said im not educated enough even tho i may be liked and my leadership is phenomenal..so now its i gotta humbly lower my exsperiance to beibg stuck here or look for bigger better opportunities..i DESPERATELY DESIRE here, but theres no change in management and its gonna take finances i do not have to get my college accreditation. Co workers are bumbed too..they dont respect runner up, but boss higjly favors said person BASED on their academic experience. Im a REAL PERSONAL EXPERIENCE person too. I love theses people, i KNOW ALL their moods, i been here 5 yrs...so why shoukd i leave ? I gotta find somewhere else doing what i love...

Yup, that's how it goes. When there is a stack of resumes they toss any that are the wrong colour, have misspellings, or where the education just doesn't match what it says in their hiring document.
Now you can stop being such a phenomenal manager, that should be a load off your shoulders.
Meanwhile, find another place to work. Call in sick when you have an interview. Life goes on.

The same thing happened to my aunt in 1991, she helped to start a new business that does technical writing and graphics, BUT because she did NOT have a graphics design degree her boss hired a new manager off the street, DESPITE her being with the company from day one for almost 15 years. She took the company to court and won, the owner paid the new manager $50,000 a year while she was only getting $20,000 a year in all that time.
