Learning to “speak manager”

For those of you with experience in the business world…

In a business setting, when you go to management with an issue/problem….and their response is “we’ll look into it.”

Roughly how could that be translated?

That's a great question, thank you for raising it. I definitely understand how frustrating it must be to be in this situation. I think this topic deserves focus, more focus than we can cover today, let's park it for the time being and really scope out the key elements and stakeholders so we can prioritise it in our backlog

They have taken note of your issue. Nothing will be done in a hurry.
You need to follow up in about two weeks for your own peace of mind.

So it’s just a BS line that managers give you?@MarineBob
theres not a 1:1 translation. from a good manager it means he'll be lookin into things. from a mediocre manager it means he'd like you to go away. from the worst, it means "... and the horse you rode in on."
Have you seen poor management before?
