We're getting a mid-year bonus at work for the end of the financial year

It's £3500, or around NZ$7900. A fair amount of that will go on tax, but it's still a lot of money. And this is on top of my wages, so that's another NZ$1700 (after tax). I'm hoping for $4-5000 total so I can save some, buy some new clothes and shoes, and get the model I've had my eye on for weeks and probably a figure case too to replace the old broken one I'm storing my Middle Earth models in.

It's nice to work for a place that shares good times with it's employees. Not many of them around. I've worked for a couple that gave out Christmas bonuses based on the years profits and time with the company. Some were so so some were holly cow. Anything is better than nothing.

@Gibbon Take what you can get. This is a multinational corporation so there aren't really any people like that, at least that I have to deal with.
