My boss has started showing groups around the office with an intention to sell

He's not said a word to the team but I hope we're not all about to be out of a job

Where do you live?

In the UK it would be very difficult legally for a company to change hands and the new owner fire the employees.

@JonUK41 Singapore, I'd not consider Singapore to be worker friendly

@Longpatrol OK, can't help you with specifics. I think you're right about Singapore.

If I was you I'd lawyer up now and find out where you stand. Obviously you'll need to make decisions potentially quite quickly. In my experience best approach has always been anticipate their next move and be ready to respond.

Good luck. Lets us know how you get on.

@JonUK41 yup I've got my resume updated and I do have a couple of leads in case things go tits up

@Longpatrol Good man. This may end up in your favour, new career opportunities under the new owners.

But as I said earlier in an uncertain situation you always need to be 1 step ahead - anticipate scenarios/prepare your response for any eventuality. You don't want to be thinking after decisions have been made, do your thinking with a clear head. If things go tits up you might need to be in a position to react legally very quickly.

Best to you mate.
