I can't read people sometimes and need an answer

We are bunch of colleagues at work and all are of same cadre, we had arguments and separated into teams. 5 people on one side and my close colleague and I on opposing end. Whenever even there is a minute conflict, those people would come at me and argue with me, belittle me and sometimes even mock me but not my colleague. Do they respect her / afraid of her/ or look at me as ridiculous because almost everyone of them argue with me and gang up on me all the time

@Mudkip We had differences and at one point it looked like im the spokesperson from one side since my colleague rarely utters anything. But I never backed down too which is something i take pride in

@Tellmeaboutyourself of course, you can't let anyone just walk all over you. That's what I tell one of my coworkers because he isn't as vocal as I am. There's being nice, but it can get you nowhere. Nothing wrong with being assertive in matters that need attention.

@Mudkip Being nice has led to people think im being a pushover and exploited me. Same as you get what you tolerate. So there's no point in being nice anymore

@Tellmeaboutyourself in your case, no. Being nice isn't an option. There's constructive criticism, but belittling you is something else. You shouldn't take it from them.
