Not recent, but the first half of my adult life was as a USAF and airline pilot. Bunched in there are a few years as a safety instructor, flight instructor, and a few other things.

Took some lessons in high school, joined the USAF after. Always been an enthusiast, went to the EAA airshow in Oskosh this summer for the first time.

I got my license when I was 17. Aviation has changed a lot in the ensuing years.

I made some great paper airplanes when I was young.
