why are more employers paying employees bi-weekly?

@Workerbee lol it is not so obvious actually. I used to live in the Middle East and I've been always paid monthly. Now I live in Canada and I am surprised the pay is bi-weekly. I wouldn't like to be paid weekly, that feels as if I am a child taking weekly allowance from my parents 🤷🏾‍♀️ . I prefer monthly pay, gives an individual more freedom on how much to spend when.

@Workerbee no one said you were🤷🏾‍♀️ i am explaining why weekly pay is not the most common or expected thing, since elsewhere in the world, it is even longer term than biweekly. But clearly you didn't get it.
