That's just capitalism. Animal farm isn't about communism per say. It's a commentary on the former USSR and other totalitarian regimes. None of which have ever actually moved beyond the dictator phase and become communist. Instead they become ultra capitalist because it's the most easy for a corrupt government to use.

@BlueGreenGrey By and large you don't have socialism if you don't have businesses... A socialist business is one where the workers share ownership of said business, rather than a capital owner or group of investors. The term co-op is often used for these business models.
