What am I working for?

That's a typical question a lot of young people ask. "What am I working for?" Well the best thing I could tell you this what you're working for is money what that money buys is your future retirement your house your boat your car your wife's ring your children's education your children's toys your toys your wife's toys and I'm not talking about the sex toys!

You're working for your life insurance for your wife's life insurance, no you don't get to eliminate her! Your children's insurance things happen to little kids sadly enough and that is what you're working for.

As it said even though to live for today you should always plan for tomorrow and the future. Or that which is below. It's good stuff.

I enjoy my work because I turned one of my hobbies into a career. I make a lot, enough to reasonably support a family of 6 (soon to be 7) on my income alone.

That said, we will never be able to retire or afford anything luxurious that isn't paid for by the company. That part is hard to deal with.

I consider myself luckier than most my age because at least we aren't working 40+ hours a week just to starve.
