What is a good salary/wage.

Looking for people’s opinion on what’s good living looks like.

Oh, so many factors... Where? What's the job? Is it stressful? Is it emotionally rewarding? How much time does it take away from your life?
Some types of job simply aren't worth the pay even if it's high.

Personally, I would be satisfied with a job that would pay the basic needs but also give me a lot of freedom.

@Tryingtofindabalance It's a tricky question because the more you have the more options open to you and more you want. Well, at least I know I would. I wish I could work from home or any place in the world I'd choose and I'd earn enough to cover my "base", in other words the place I would own and had to pay taxes, insurance etc. for and to cover the travel expenses and the rent in the place I would choose to work from. 😇

@CrazyMusicLover about eight years ago, my boss at the time wanted to promote me. She said that she would want me to sit in and talk about it. I thought about it, and when I sat with her the first thing that I said to her was that the pay is not worth the work...and I'm not interested (considering I can make better money at my current spot). I even brought up to her, why are bonuses capped? When you can outperform the expectation.
She agreed with me and said that she was going to look into that.
She was disappointented but understood why I didn't want the promotion.

@Tryingtofindabalance As for the number, that depends on if I would be self-employed or by some miracle on a full-time contract. Because as a self-employed person, I would have to pay taxes according to my income from the previous quarter of the year so it's hard to give a specific number.
