What do you think of this phenomenon called...

"Quiet Quitting" in our working environment....
Where do you stand in this culture of the younger generation.

What is "quiet qutting' to you?

I am just curious.

Quiet quitting is a term coined by our corporate overlords. What they're describing is Working To Contract. Going home at 5 and leaving work behind. It means the employee is done doing free labor and the boss is butthurt that people don't want to devote every minute of their life to the Job.

I was doing it before it became trendy 😆

If they are paying me as little as they can get away with then I'm giving as little effort as I can get away with.
It's a righteous answer to quiet firing. 🤷 They follow whatever is stipulated in their contract. If employers don't like it, they should change the terms they let people sign. Of course that requires some other clauses to benefit the employees to still make them sign too.

Not being the kind of slave they feel happy to have.

I quiet quit. Not sure it has anything do with the younger generation though.

My job is demanding and requires a lot of my personal time to do it right. But there’s a lack of appreciation - not to mention compensation - for that extra time. I used to do it to be a good worker and also bc I was single with nothing else to devote my life to. But now my parents are gone, after long sicknesses and I am a wife so over the last 10 years or so I quiet quitted bc I had other priorities.

I also don’t lose my mind over the little details that I used to when I was new even while working. Where before I planned planned planned. Now I just wing it. Idc.

I've done this in the past. I mentally check out and do only my job without going above and beyond.

in a way I think it's the lazy way out but I also think it shows how screwed up this world has gotten that quiet quitting is common, of not the norm now
It’s that feeling between when you start looking fiora new job and when you actually quit

all they need is a supervisor that micromanages! muhaha 😜
I give the company their money's worth ..
It´s glorified laziness.
It's when I say no to the extra extra extra work Im expected to do. Like, working Saturdays or answering emails after 6pm.
