Anybody here work from home?

What do you do for work?
How is it working from home?
Does management constantly monitor you?

I have the same problems on every single job.
I get anxiety to the point I hate waking up in the morning and going to work.
Gonna start looking at WFH jobs.

My goal is to be out of my current job before December

I have been working without the benefit of a traditional office, for the past 20 years or so.

During the pandemic, it was strictly from home. Since, and before, it's from home, Starbucks, hotels, beach, planes, trains...

I don't really have management, but there are metrics that can be used to monitor remote work. There are plenty of work from home jobs, but more and more companies are trying to force people back to into the office.

@Northwest what do you do though? All I'm seeing is customer service type jobs , which I don't want. Not sure what else there is to do from home

@iamnikki I have multiple engineering/testing/product development/data analysis teams, working 100% from home. Customer service is a large segment of the WFH market, but it's by no means the only job. Not even close.

@Northwest cool. I know its not the only thing, i just don't know what else there is

@REMsleep needing a little more per hour. Thank you though

@iamnikki The recruiter job was 50 to 60K. That was one of the better ones but usually if you want to be paid well remotely it will either be contract only work or specialized in a particular field. My aunt is a lawyer for Wells Fargo and she mostly works from home but sadly they just made her move to South Carolina after 2 years here at home because they want her in the office 2 days per week. She said that so far half the employees don't even show for their required 2 days. So its like she moved for nothing.

@REMsleep That makes me feel like it's a scam. Usaully recruiters don't make that.
I'm sure some will get hired and make it worth her while
