Reprimanding co-workers sucks ass...
I hate being the boss at work! Normally I'm not, but since my usual two bosses are out this week, I have to be the acting manager of our department until one of them gets back. Today, someone made a doozy so I had to sit down and talk with them privately on what they did wrong. But not before anxiously sitting in my office for a good ten minutes working up the nerves to do so... It was pretty awkward since this co-worker and I are kinda equals most of the time, but today, I had to be the one dressing him down. Regardless of what my current position is, I really hate having to do that. It always makes me feel so bad and awkward afterward. Almost as bad as being on the receiving end of getting chewed out! But it needs to be done and while I am pretty laid back as a supervisor, when someone screws up, I can't be the one giving them any passes for it. Le sigh.
