When you leave a group of people you think their lives are just going to carry on, then you hear that they’ve died and it knocks the wind out of you.

One of my old 29 Squadron buddies found out he had cancer in August and didn’t make it into the new year. He’d not long ago started a family. Unbelievable.

My condolences on the loss of your friend. I do understand; I’ve definitely begun losing friends over the last few years.

@bijouxbroussard Thank you. I know it’s life, but you just hope your friends go off and live life as they wish. That guy had been so short changed. I guess none of us know what cards we’re holding.
