My 1st visit to NYC

My company had sent me to NYC for training. I was staying across the street from the training center.
While on the sidewalk I saw women dressed up for work in tennis shoes and carrying an aluminum baseball bat.
I commented, Do those women play coed softball after work? My question alerted those around me that I've never been to NYC.
No!

They laughed. The bat is for fending off the homeless beggers and the shoes are for running away or walking from the subway.
That's sucks.

@saragoodtimes i am not ready to do a show yet, sitting in a theater for 2-3 hours with a mask, is not my cup of tea, and I am not sure id be ready to go if there were no mask mandate. We are looking at some shows, maybe late December? Dose Alan enjoy theater? Would you stay in a fancy hotel?

@saragoodtimes is there a local helipad you leave from? i have been on a helo only once and it was not a great experience. It was a mock disaster, and I kind of think the pilot wanted to get "the doctor" sick! he almost accomplished that. You do know the lead in Tina is leaving? I think she is pregnant. I can't recommend anything, since we haven't been to the theater since pre-covid. We loved Come From Away though, and it is coming back, it is a real "feel good" show.
