First of my patients since my job started this April that is nearing death... And I'm already depressed.

He's a young lad. When he realized there's no hope, he finally broke down and cried with his dad 😭 those moments when you feel helpless and guilty even though there's nothing more you could have done and your team has tried everything in their power........ 😭😭😭 I just.... I think I should enroll in therapy before deaths start becoming too overwhelming for me and I end up nonfunctional again....

I think that's better for you. If you don't feel able to cope you'll be better off moving before you become numb due to trauma.
Some people adapt but you live a half life.
