I definitely think you should enroll in therapy or reach out to a support group for colleagues in your profession. You would be surrounded by people who definitely understand
where you're coming from.
My mom was an ER nurse and she had it pretty rough as well but therapy and just talking about situations like these was tremendously helpful for her.

I think that's better for you. If you don't feel able to cope you'll be better off moving before you become numb due to trauma.
Some people adapt but you live a half life.
