For women - what's it like to go from being 'regular' with periods into menopause with no mentruation?
Doing a community bbq today with my local scout group for anzac day. I'm a leader, my second ex is on the group's committee.
She was talking (as she always does) not to me but to other women about going into menopause. She's 51 now, and has been a sexual health nurse for almost 15 yrs (before I met her). She and I *never ever* talked about sex and sex health topics when we were still together in a relationship from mid-2013 to mid-2018 mainly because my thoughts were invalid and worthless being a man and not a female health professional. ;-)
Since I left her in 2018 we've had zero discussions about our personal lives/situations.
So since I don't have anyone to talk to about women's sexual health matters, it got me wondering.
What's it like to change from having regular periods before all your eggs are gone, to the point where you no longer have menstrual cycles?
I haven't had a romantic partner since 2018
