I Have Unusually Large Breasts, Macromastia

When I travel by air, which is usually about once a month or so, I always make sure I pay extra to ensure I am in the first row against the bulkhead and I get one of the two window seats. Additionally I make sure I pay the extra to get priority boarding if it is not already included. I do this so I can get on before anyone else and avoid the awkward looks and stares that would normally come from those already seated as I would present myself at the head of the isle and or have to walk down the isle to a standard seat as everyone looks at me, trying to figure out what is wrong with me or if I am a porn star or something. Also being at a window seat I can easily avoid looks by turning towards the window as though I’m looking out the window and usually camouflage my huge boobs. I often travel with a light wrap or some sort which also helps.

However recently due to a death in the family I was forced to book a ticket very last minute that was a very full flight and I could not follow my usually process. Therefore I found myself in row 6 but was still able to get a window seat, thank goodness. I did pay for priority boarding so I was one of there first on board, but still received many long looks before and during the flight because of my location. I was expecting that, but what I wasn't expecting because it has been a very long time since I had to sit in a non bulkhead seat, was that the person in front of me decided to recline their seat and their seat literally pressed directly up against my breasts. I did of course immediately reclined mine to get some relief but it only provided enough to stop the pressing into me and is now just grazing me. I can only imagine what the middle aged couple next to me were thinking as I couldn’t help to notice them glancing from time to time at me.

This was something I had never experienced before and frankly hope I don't have to anytime soon. All in all a very humbling experience.

you have my sympathies. the last time I had to fly I decided was my last. I had to book the seats either side of me, and pay for a door seat for extra "leg" room, but it was an incredibly uncomfortable experience.

Much the same as it was for you, it was all the people gawking at me as they boarded. It was bad in the terminal where I had to be searched as they suspected I was trying to smuggle "something" (I don't know, maybe beach-balls are a controlled import on Grand-Canaria) and they would not accept my physiology even when it was there to be seen. And then there was the reactions from everyone else as I was walking through for boarding.

From now on I am just going to stick with stay-at-home holidays.

I live on a relatively small island, the closest part of France is only 90 miles away, 85 of those are water.
Most cars are a tight fit, trains and busses worse so, so most travel options Come woth drawbacks. It's all about balancing them out

Eep. Well, it was worth saying anyways incase you ever want to try a vacation here in the states.

@morgangray geeze how horrible! You have to be harassed by security for no reason. You should definitely get a pre check pass to skip security next time.

😢 I'm so sorry for your loss, Megan. Take whatever time and space you feel like you need to grieve, it's OK. And we're all here to listen if you ever feel like need to talk any time.
And I'm so sorry your experience in getting there made it all so much worse. It's hard to travel and not end up being made to feel like a sideshow or a big sack of potatoes or something. Nobody seems to understand and nothing's made the way it ought to be.

I am so sorry for your experience I can imagine how you must have felt. I matured quickly in grade school and I used to get stares in gym class since our gym shorts didn't hide much. I always felt as though I was on public display.

I hope the service was nice and you enjoyed being around family and friends that can act normal around you. It is sad that you had a bad experience with your flight before paying your respects.
RPFeeder · 36-40, M
Sounds like you and several others in the thread either need a private plane, a lifestyle with less traveling, or take on the burden of proudly representing for the community. >_<

Sorry you had that upsetting experience when you couldn't use your coping mechanism. Sounds like you have worked out all sorts of ways around challenges

Sorry for you experience, its such a pain to have to go about your business with people gawking in certain situations.

I can relate to living with 'extreme endowment'

Some people don't have good manners.
You see around you before reclining your seat.
You ask behind if it is possible before.

I think your breasts are amazing, and I hope you're happy with them apart from the odd unfortunate incident. x

Do you ever see your breasts as a blessing ? Some women can’t grow them or wish they had some
Ferrari21 · 36-40, M
That really sucks. I’m sorry that you had to experience that. No one should feel humiliated, especially for something that is outside of your control.
BigGuy2 · 31-35, M
I’ve got my fix for the day, so thank you

I appreciate women with big breasts, sometimes I fail to appreciate how awkward/embarrassing it is for you yourself
