Went home early without approval

My periods are absolutely miserable because of endometriosis, a growth in my uterus, and cysts on my ovaries. I have medical documentation that supports this, and I have made it clear to my company that it can be debilitating during my period.

Today the pain was so bad that I went pale, got cold sweats, and felt like I was going to pass out. I tried to hang in there. I focused on my calls, and as I took the calls, I did some diamond art because usually that makes me very calm and zen. Not this time.

I waited in agony til my company sent out the usual emails offering for people with certain skill sets (I am included) to leave early. As soon as I got the email, I put in my request for an early out. It was denied. So I sent a request to leave at a slightly later time. Denied.

Finally I had had enough. I emailed my supervisor to let her know I was in pain and needed to leave despite being denied the early out. I shut down my computer, clocked out, went home.

One thing I'm NOT gonna do is allow my job to impede my health. It's already a stressful job, I get more calls than ANYONE, and I will not be forced to stay there when I am feeling as miserable as I felt. They don't own me.
