Question for the girls

Is birth control worth it? I mostly want it to have a regular period at the same time each month but i also want something to fix my hormones. Im sick of getting depressed during my period and im sick of bleeding through clothes because i cant predict when it will come. I know there can be side effects from birth control so i would love to hear some opinions/experiences. Thank you girlies. 😚
