@REMsleep Well I shower as needed and also don't want dry skin so you have to find a balance. Clean yes, excessive no. We also need to stop being bullied by sexist marketing strategies.
Medical community says, strenuous work or exercise may require more frequency, but for the most part, once a day or once every two days is sufficient to maintain healthy hygiene.
Once daily as opposed to twice means half the water use.

I disagree with this. Showering so often is bad for your skin, as not only are you cleaning off dirt and sweat, but you're also stripping your body of it's natural oils and symbiotic bacteria. On top of this, it can heavily dry out your skin. As someone who already has naturally bad skin, this would turn my body into a cracked, drought ridden desert.
It’s sexist, of course. All adults should bathe regularly; the need for hygiene isn’t based upon gender. The idea that it’s more important for women to smell clean than men is a part of cultural misogyny.
@bijouxbroussard I agree. This keeps coming up with someone that I know. A sort of shaming that I think once daily is generally enough or that once daily is not feminine
Well, I shower in the morning and bathe in the evening. Or, shower again if the bath is not available wherever I am at that time. But I wash twice a day, which would work out to every 12 hours give or take. I think people should do whatever they want though. I value cleanliness very highly, though.
@Mamapolo2016 He's all talk. Eve could have smelled like all of the animals on the Ark and yet somehow I don't think that humanity would have been doomed.
Not to sound rude. But it's your body right? Or did you lose control of your own body to someone else? It shouldn't matter what any of us do or think. Myself I'll take a shower whenever I want, and I don't care what anyone thinks, not even a wife if I had one.
Males especially should learn to wipe their asses properly. I did people's laundry for years when I managed a Dry Cleaner/laundromat. I was always giving males back their skidmark drawers without washing them. Really gross
@fernie2 Yes, I have never in my life had a skid mark and yes I found one from a male family member in the laundry. I was appalled. Wipe until clean. Toilet paper is cheap.
