Say you run a canned fruit factory, and one of your workers looses a finger, but it goes unreported for 72 hours of production, b/c he was scared.

There are back orders to fill because of food shortages, and the goods from that day are already loaded onto cargo ships.

Do you recall the product line, to try and locate this man's missing digit? Or let it slide and hope that the can makes it way to some third world country where a human finger pickled in fruit syrup would be thought to be a blessing of some sort?

What would you do?

Recall. Publicity, oversight and fines, lawsuits and potential customer loss.
