I have a weird pea-sized thing in my neck 😬

The nurse doesn't think it's cancer, but she said I should get a scan and some blood-tests done, to be sure. I'm not too worried about it, but it all costs money, on top of the money I didn't even have to get all those blood tests and the ultrasound for my dog done. 😮‍💨
It's a pea-sized hard little thing in my neck.. no pain.. I'm not too worried, if anything the worry about money has probably caused it to grow! 🤣

Maybe it's just a benign cyst, but better safe than sorry. I had what I thought was a wart on my calf and kept treating it with otc stuff but it wouldn't go away and I went and got a biopsy and it was skin cancer and I had to have surgery and have a huge scar now. 12 stitches. I would get a biopsy if it doesn't go away soon

@Mardrae I was just recommended a scan and blood tests, no one ever spoke to me about a biopsy. I wonder if I should request it.. I'm glad to hear that you were able to remove it with surgery. I didn't even know that was possible with skin cancer. 🌸

@SW-User yes, anytime you have anything unusual on your skin, go to a dermatologist and ask for a biopsy, especially if you are in the sun a lot. I used to always have a tan when I was young and used a tanning bed and laid in the sun and have had several skin cancers removed. It definitely catches up with you. But more than likely it is just some benign cyst. And thank you for the gift- that was so sweet!!

@SW-User You don't know that, if it's cancerous then it is possible that they could tell from a blood test. It's not sure, but remember that no one can force you to do anything you don't want to. Just go and tell them what you do and do not feel okay with. They'll do what you feel okay with, and that's better than nothing.

It probably isn't anything bad, but I think everyone should know that they can always just state that they don't want something to be done, and then they won't do it, but they might be able to do other things you haven't thought of.

I think that people should just do whatever the doctor recommends, but if not then at least still go, and just tell them how you feel about certain things.

@SW-User Aw you're so welcome, and I'm sure it's nothing bad, and I'm pretty sure my thing isn't anything bad either, but it's worth checking out. No one have even said they wanted a sample from me, or anything like that, so I think it's best to not assume what they want to do. ♡
