I've reached my target!

Just under a year a go i was diagnosed with diabetes. I was put on meds and told to sort myself out basically. I was shocked and disapointed at the lack of guidence I was given initially, and the way i was spoken to at my first appointment at the clinic.
Anyway...i was determined to improve my diet and lifestyle. I ate better, cut down on the crap and upped my exercise levels. I managed to reduce my sugar levels to below diabetic levels and i'm now awaiting my latest review to see if i need to carry on with medication.

I set myself a goal to loose 3 stone. I wanted to get below 60kg....and i've finally done it!! I'm now 9st 4 which is a healthy weight for my height and age. The last half stone has been hard to shift, i think its gonna be even harder to keep off, but im up for trying. Its well over 12 years since i was under 10 stone! [image deleted]

Awesome!

I had a very serious illness which made it hard to get around so I shopped less often for food and stopped going out to eat. I lost weight.

Then I got treated, and pumped with drugs which made me nauseous. I was throwing up about twice a week. After I got home, I eventually was taken off some drugs, and able to eat more food, so my weight loss stopped.

While being treated, I learned I had diabetes. I cut out sugar, soda, and dessert. So I lost weight.

Eventually they put me on Ozempic. One side effect is my stomach empties more slowly, hence I feel full longer after a meal, and hence delay the next one. So I lost even more weight.

I do not wan't to, I feel too thin. My muscles are all thin and weak due to being bedridden and sick so long, and I feel I need more bulk. At least my A1C has now dropped to being just above normal. They took me off metformin, which I also had been taking.

Good luck!
