I Want to Lose Weight

I've had a gut for all my life (literally), I really want to get rid of it. Sadly it will take a few months at minimum of dedicated strenous exercise as far as I know.

It looks like a beer belly (I've never had beer), I'm not overweight, but I also don't have much muscle, some in my legs. I'm actually close to the waistline where I have increased chance of heart disease. Heart disease runs in my family too, sadly no one in my family runs though.

Sounds like your just out of shape loosing weight wont do anything about that . Get a personal trainer and in not time you will be fit in no time.

@INEEDHIM79 Well, I am and have been over my ideal weight. I was only at my ideal weight for a short period a year ago. Actually, right now I think I am a bit overweight for my BMI. Heavier than I've ever been or close right now. I was usually around 180, I was at my ideal weight of 169 for a while, and at the moment I am at about 185. Even if I wasn't overweight though, I still want to lose weight, the fat around my waist and gain some more muscle. I won't get a personal trainer, but I will try to stick to a strenuous exercise routine until I get rid of it if it doesn't come off with the weight (I'm planning on going down to 160 at least because I know my ideal weight is with muscle in mind and it's not weightless). I did still have the gut and it looked the same to me when I was down around 169 or lower, but it might've been a bit smaller (didn't take pictures of different angles before and after, relied on memory). Thanks for the response.

Edit: I'm 6'1", small boned (barely), and a male human. More ectomorph-ic than anything else, I think.
