A neighbour has a coal fire: the smell transported me back to my childhood in the '60's.

I can still bring to mind the smell of grandma’s pantry. Pantry I said!
Nutmeg? Other spices maybe. Fresh bread.
And grandad’s shed, the light oil he used on his hand push lawnmower.
