I Like The Smell When It Rains

I grew up on a large working cattle ranch in the middle of no where USA. The land can best be described as desert because we don’t get much rainfall.

The humidity is low and when we do get rain the desert plants bloom and the land becomes very beautiful for a few days.

The rain cleanses the air and the land. The smell of the rain is uniquely indescribable but I absolutely love it.

When I was a little girl I always looked forward to the rain with its uniquely wonderful smell which always brought life and vitality to the desert.
