Next paycheck go to a asian grocery and buy a big freaken bag of rice, the giant cloth bag ones that weigh more than you:
Prior to Covid in the US they ran about $45 bucks in walmart. I told people I knew on philosophy forums in January of 2020 a big Chinese virus was coming and the Chinese in the US where I was traveling was panic buying everything, and they should rush out and buy one bug bag for each member kf their family. Not one for them all, one for each member, and when the virus comes and people panic buy, just lay low, and wait out the riots.
Riots did happen, but not from food shortages. Wasn't that bad, but it did give people peace of mind having emergency food that could last months on hand. I'm sure everyone is sick and tired of eating all that rice. You won't starve having rice always on hand.
