Shut up and listen!

Often we speed through life without taking the time stop and breathe. Fleeting moments you may never get back. A chance to hear rain on a tin roof or one single flower pushing its way through a crack in the sidewalk. A child's laughter or a baby bird's first song from the nest. Take a moment to let the world catch back up and exist fully in the state of now.

But we are not just one sense, we have 5. Make use of the other 4 as well.
See the rain bounce off the roof.
Feel it on your naked body.
Drink of it, taste the purity.
Smell the forest, smell the metal roof, smell your armpits.
@PoohSmasher You forgot the sense of self "6th." A basic sense more meaningful yet overlooked.
@TerminalChaos
1) A power of perception seemingly independent of the five senses; keen intuition.
2) Extrasensory perception; the ability to sense things by means other than the known bodily senses.
3) Grasping the inner nature of things intuitively.

So you kinda know your armpits are gonna stink before you smell them. You have the feeling someone is watching you while you stand there naked sniffing your armpits and making a face. There are dead leaves in the water you drank and it's kinda gross, but you knew it would be. You hear sirens and you know they are coming for you.
