Mid Autumn here and the last three days, 33, 31 and 29 degrees C. Rather warm for this time of year. Still the Kookaburras are laughing before sunrise and the Koala's making grunting sounds like wild pigs....

Hedgehogs make a funny grunting sound to it scared me one night and started crying lmao until glitter investigated and said its a Hedgehog lol

@Gangstress Don’t get Hedgehogs in Australia....but plenty in New Zealand. Find that weird. Introduced of course and a pest that kills a lot of native insects, lizards etc. They are trying to eradicate them in many areas.
No not mating season. The young males get kicked out of home and are looking to establish their own territory.

@Gangstress Always the way....anything introduced tends to become a predator in a space that was never occupied. New Zealand has plenty of pests....most brought in by the English. Stoats, Ferrets, Cats, Rabbits, Wild Pigs, Deer, Goats, even possums and wallabies from Australia.
