@ninalanyon Extreme, both by the cold, the snow, but also by how warm it has been for much of the winter, the extreme winds. Climate change is real and it has become "normal" that we now have very changeable and extreme weather.

@72andy yeah similar. Wind not as bad as I thought it would be but I'm not on the coast.

I read 60,000 homes without power though mostly in South West and Midlands. That sucks in winter obviously.

@peterlee Yeah but this is one of the worst since 1987 - I read technically more powerful as the pressure drop was larger and faster than that one

@KatyO83 possibly, it’s the time of my birthday. We get snow one year in seven, sometimes a bright crisp day, more often than not, wet and windy.

The nights are pulling out quite fast now.And the darkness recedes in the morning from Monday. The darkest days will be over next week. Cold , horrible though, but at least we will begin to have light. This is winter.
