Storm? What storm?

It was bad near us - I'm North Kent so avoided the worst of it. But was traveling into London yesterday and the trains were a complete disaster. Took ages to get there and back. Couple of friends on the coast had no power and roads blocked with trees down. A relative of my son-in-law has had a lot of damage, half the roof gone and windows blown out in the their home in Jersey.

Better to be prepared and have it miss than to be unprepared and be in the maelstrom/storm

Poor Fish, he's never going to live that down!
