And in any case, I think we'd all be rather more content (religious or not) if we followed a little less political gossip. (And, I suspect, enjoy better politicians)

I think it's important to have some understanding of what goes on in the world (though I have no issue with people who don't), but there is for sure enough political nonsense too, to fill one's entire life with if one so wish lol.
