More helpless feelings

My kid is in central Florida getting ready for what may be her first experience with a hurricane. I used to live in South FL & told her what I knew about storm prep but she's well over a thousand miles away from me, a slightly scared young woman on her own. Obviously the storm can go anywhere & may well be a non-event for her area but I'm still here getting anxious on her behalf. This part of parenting sucks.

Aww. Dont scare her worse. Is she in a flood zone? Does she have a plan in case of evacuation?

@Selah Oh I wasn't trying to scare her, just reminded her to have non-perishable food & water on hand, as much ice as she can make in the freezer, gas in the car, cash onhand. The basic common sense stuff. Her building is new and she's several stories up. Her block isn't in a flood zone so I'm hoping she will have no reason to fret.
