I Can't Stand Hot Weather

Made it to 45C here today, been in the low 40s for the last couple of days and expected to be even hotter over the next few days. Problem is, next month is traditionally our hottest month. Damn, but I'm having problems with this weather.

Yeah the current heat wave is ridiculous. Summer is my least favourite season.

@StormInaTeacup Only 37c here today, lol.
@Bushranger still way too hot!

@StormInaTeacup And going to get hotter, I think. Might look at camping near a lake or river for a while. At least I'll be able to cool down in the water.
@Bushranger do you live rurally?
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@StormInaTeacup Live in a rural village about 30km from a rural city, if that makes sense. Luckily, I'm retired so if I want to go away for a while there's nothing stopping me.
@Bushranger yes makes total sense 😊 I currently live in the big smoke but i am moving up north to live regionally once again.

@StormInaTeacup Nice. Hope it works out well for you. I'm originally from Sydney and don't miss it at all.
@Bushranger I have a good feeling about this move 😊 yeah I have only visited Sydney and never really liked it there.

@Bushranger IS it hot even on the beaches by the ocean?
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@Carazaa Depends on where you are. But Sydney had temps in the 30c range over the last couple of days. Combined with the humidity it would be pretty well unbearable. It's one of the reasons I got out, the humidity here is a lot lower. Mind you, in Queensland over summer, the coastal areas can get very hot. But it is early for this type of weather, usually comes later in the season.

@Bushranger I don't know Australia at all but right on the coast the weather is usually milder everywhere, of course its usually also the most expensive.

@Carazaa The weather is generally milder on the coast. It's rare to get temps in the 40s, even rarer to get them for over a week in a row as we did last summer. And I've got a horrible feeling it's going to be worse this year.

@Bushranger I think you are right, but I call them Birth pangs like Jesus says. Probably not fires as bad but other pains are coming, until the new heaven is born. I hope you are well?

@Carazaa I call it climate change.
