Wisconsin school shooting

MSNBC REPORTS:

“ In a statement on Monday afternoon, Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers said, “There are no words to describe the devastation and heartbreak we feel today after the school shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison this morning.”

“As a father, a grandfather, and as governor, it is unthinkable that a kid or an educator might wake up and go to school one morning and never come home,” he said. “This should never happen, and I will never accept this as a foregone reality or stop working to change it.””

AMEN!

This is a repost of a comment I made on September 7, 2024. It seems like a million years ago, and absolutely nothing has changed since.

Will you next claim: “Well, it’s their own fault! The kids made themselves targets by being in class!”

Just to be clear: I AM NOT POSTING THIS AS A JOKE—IT IS NO MORE ABSURD THAN THE EXCUSES COMING FROM THE RIGHT WING POLITICIANS WHO HAVE CREATED THIS ENVIRONMENT.

Think about it. Take those THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS AND REALLY THINK ABOUT THIS EPIDEMIC OF DEADLY VIOLENCE.
