“Before Thursday’s announcement, the teen’s grandfather, Charles Polhamus, said he wanted Colin Gray charged along with his son.

“If he didn’t have a damn gun,” Polhamus said, “he wouldn’t have gone and killed anybody.””

Georgia is ranked as #46 in laxity of gun ownership laws.

While Colt admits to committing the shooting his parents and all the right wing Georgia politicians who treasure their guns and NRA donations ALSO HAD THEIR FINGERS ON THE TRIGGER!

Four lives needlessly snuffed out, at least 9 treated for physical wounds, untold number of youngsters, staff, and families mentally and emotionally wounded…

All you right wing politicians out there—we don’t want your fake “thoughts & prayers.”

WE WANT YOU TO DO YOUR DAMN JOBS!

JD: if you can’t be part of the solution at least have the DECENCY to not obstruct those of your “comrades” who are willing to try!

@justanothername No, I did that on purpose, the same way I use [redacted] to avoid using profanity. While pair is not profane per se it clearly has a connotation that I wished to infer, but not resort to the guttural language of the MAGAs and their Apricot Antichrist. That’s why I placed it in quotes.

But thanks for pointing out the intended meaning for those not bright enough to catch the inference.

Reaction of FAUX News and other rightward leaning news services: primarily blaming the family and law enforcement and leaving the politicians off the hook

Gov Kemp reaction: we need thoughts and prayers and surround the victims’ families with love (The Greg Abbott approach), at least Kemp didn’t try to give credit to law enforcement that wasn’t due

JD Vance and presumably tRUMP: get used to it because it’s going to happen and get your own bullet proof glass shields like ours

Of course guns don't kill people, they are inanimate objects, but when guns are accessable to people they do kill. Like the grandfather said, without the gun, he wouldn't have killed anyone.

But like you said, we can say prayers, that's very helpful.

Let's start praying because this school year will have more deaths than any other due to the trend.
