Illinois cop fired, charged with murder
Check out the video. He shot a woman in the face for taking a pot of boiling water off the stove and then emptying it in the sink. ☹️ He had turned off his bodycam to hide his crime but his partner hadn't.

don't take this as ANY sympathy for the cop but..
I can understand his concern...she reported a prowler and when she opened the door - it took several minutes she starts off saying "don't hurt me"
they ask for her ID and she was really discombobalated
and then she says something about "I compell you in the name of Jesus" like she's trying to do an exorcism.
So they have a reason to wonder about her mental faculties.
BUT instead of shooting - all they had to do was back up and maybe talk to her through the doorway. The prosecutor said they didn't try to retreat - and the use of force was just...abysmal.
the cop has a suspect employment history - this guy couldn't keep a cop job.
