I Was Taught How To Use A Gun

I'm not a gun expert or anything but my dad raised me to respect guns and how to use one in case of emergencies. I hope I won't ever have to use my gun knowledge but knowing how to fire a gun makes me feel safer especially as a petite young woman with admittedly not a lot of muscle. I'm pro stricter gun laws but I'm still pro guns and I think more women should look into owning a gun or at least receiving some gun training.

@unknownpoetx https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0m3Uyt4_rc I can give you a link to this mans criminal record if you want. He was in and out of jail for violent crimes. sentenced to 5 years in prison over and over but released after a few months several times. The problem isn't guns its violence. Like how there is a violent crime spike in great Britain. but there are no guns. Now I think they are pushing for stricter knife laws after they made it illegal to say offensive things in public.

no second amendment means no guaranteed freedoms.

Average time a constitution will last without right to bear arms is around 12 years. With it 1787 to present day.

@TexChik our laws are broken as is our legal system and 'correctional' system

@unknownpoetx murder rates generally go up in countries that take guns away. It's generally not a problem with guns but culture. crime goes up as single parent homes and poverty goes up.

I used to shoot competitively so I do have some rifle and hand gun experience. It is a skill you have to practice to keep in top form.

@TexChik Yes .22 caliber 'gopher rife'. A pistol is never that accurate. My second favorite was a 6 mm (.223) at 200 yards with a 4X scope. If I was aiming at something living it wasn't living much longer.

@hippyjoe1955 6mm is close to .243 isn’t it ? For varmints I use a .22-250 with a 6.5x20 scope . It’s a one hole Gun!

@TexChik Yes technically you are absolutely correct. We used to call our 223 6 mm since it was easier to say. 6 mm is actually 5.56 which is a mouthful.

It is good to know how to use a gun
You can take it from the perpetrator and shoot them in the foot

@SW-User It's good to know how to use a gun just to understand it is a tool. It's like how people who have never used a gun look at them as bad but see a plethora of stabbings and beatings but don't' look at fists or knives as being the problem.

what sort of guns have you fired?
