A handgun made of ceramics to disguise from metal detectors 🤔

I wonder if that would actually work? A perfectly functional handgun being made of ceramic and not shattering as soon you fire it, and if it would even be capable of firing.

They work. The Gov. made some about 30yrs. ago. They're two shot derringers chambered for .38 special. They also made some ceramic and polymer semi-auto 9mm Glock copies.

Yes, these absolutely work.

Very worryingly, yes. The material is a special form of ceramic, not bone-china.
Most modern weapons are mostly plastic and some ceramics. As of right now though there is no getting around a metal barrel though.

Yes, they do work but they're not actually made from ceramics... they're made from a very hard plastic composite and are made with a 3D printer. That includes the bullets which are non-traceable as well as the shell casings and includes everything except the gun powder that goes inside which you'd have to install yourself.
