Any handgun owners have thoughts on the holosun 407c?

@markinkansas In my younger days I had better than 20/20 sight and was a pretty good shot with just iron sights, even with being born blind in one eye. These days I wear bifocals…I need all the help I can get past about 20 feet 😂

@Zaphod42 laser dot then .. if the light is on the target ya will hit it.. center mass .. two shots

@markinkansas In your opinion, are lasers better/more accurate than a red dot, or just less expensive?

@markinkansas That’s not the main reason I got it…not even in the top five really…but it’s been a thought in the back of my head for a couple years now 🤷‍♂

@Zaphod42 bad eyesight go with a laser dot.. if its on target you will hit it.. the other you still might not see the target clear enough. a dot on the target means you will hit it.. the other you have to look down the sight to see the target. this you could hold by your side and still hit the target .. do you understand my meaning?

@markinkansas Nice looking! But I have an RMR top mount. I did just order a laser/flashlight for the underside Picatinny mount. For 1/10 the price of a holosun red dot, it’s worth a first try anyway 👍

@Zaphod42 you will need a bore site to line up your laser dot.. it will fit where your shell goes and a red dot will come out the barrel. then ya line up your two dots together at the target and take the bore site out and you are ready to go..look for bore site for pistol on amazon . less than 40 bucks for a kit to do many sizes

@markinkansas I already ordered one…the laser flashlight comes today, and the bore sight tomorrow.

@markinkansas I’ll be picking your brain for sure, thanks. Especially as I still need to put together a cleaning kit…I know most of the tools I’ll need, but I’m unsure how to pick a solvent and oil. And for the bore brush, nylon or brass?

@markinkansas So, an interesting detail getting a laser sight when you have a cat in the house…zeroing it against the far wall while trying to maintain muzzle safety while a cat is jumping up the wall at the dots becomes an interesting challenge 🤣
