People are robbing my neighborhood.

By no means do I live on the sketchy side of town, in fact it's more out in the country in a gated community. I predicted that crime would start bleeding outward from the city, especially during hard times like these. It's gotten down to having an incident every single week. And these guys doing the crime are carrying Pew pews, and are brazen enough to be breaking into cars and houses at 6 am when people leave for work.

Mind you, I believe in the 2nd amendment for this reason as well as the original reason to defend oneself from tyranny. We have Castle law here in Texas for situations like crime on private property. Now, I conceal carry a Taurus G3c 9mm. I have two 12 count mags with Federal steel tipped hollow point ammo for self defense. So, it seems to be time to start practicing at a range and doing the dime balance, dry fire test.

@OogieBoogie Interesting, if you read after the eye for an eye scripture you'd also see Jesus saying to turn your other cheek too. Basically noting to give more than what one may take from you. The "eye for an eye" was mentioned in Exodus to establish a balanced justice system so people don't go around beheading unlawful persons when all they did was steal. That's example. Remember the law in America, where there's no unusual punishments? Same thing. Proportional justice to the crime.

Regardless, I'm not going to go into the depths I normally do to have a religious debate with someone on the Internet. I showed respect to you, and yet you mock me because you disagree my personal views. May I remind you, you could completely ignore the post if it offends you...instead of picking fights with strangers that are different from you. 👍

As far as self-defense goes, it is in my legal right to do so to protect myself and my property. Does that mean I'm deliberately waiting for someone to show up or instigating a fight? No. Castle Law doesn't protect premeditated murder. It means, when someone is committing a crime, especially in the dark, with a gun (armed robbery) that not only threatens me but also my neighbors I have the right to defend myself and others. That also doesn't mean someone is instantly going to die either. Not like I'm using a 50 cal to blow their entire torso apart.

Anyway, agree to disagree because I'm not here to persuade you otherwise. I hope you have a great day and a life full of peace. ☺️
