Why?

Okay, let's keep this civil. I want to know why owning a semiautomatic, military style firearm, with quick change magazines exceeding let's say 8 rounds, is so important to you. Why? What do you use it for that you could not otherwise do with something like a Henry Long Ranger.223 Remington, or let's say a Model 48 9mm S&W Revolver?

I have other questions concerning the whole firearms issue, but let's start with this.

Before you launch into a tirade, know that I started shooting at around the age of 10, am a combat veteran, a retired Mastersergeant, own and always have owned, at least one firearm, and support our 2nd Amendment. I sincerely want to know your reasoning.

Funny. Every time an illegal immigrant commits a crime,no democrats scream about immigration laws.

@MrBrownstone Off topic, a deflection, and not an answer.

@frequentlyme In other words,a point you can’t counter. Got it.

@MrBrownstone No, another topic entirely, and another deflection. Besides that, I am not a Democrat, and your suggestion that "democrats", meaning all of them, do anything, shows you don't have anything useful to say and can't answer my question.

@frequentlyme Just like you didn’t answer mine.

@MrBrownstone Deflection. Got it. Post a question of your own. This is an attempt at an intelligent conversation on a specific issue. I won't entertain deflections.

@frequentlyme Ha. I won this debate.

@MrBrownstone Yep, and pigs fly too.

@MrBrownstone I keep thinking of your last response, and I think you actually did answer the question "Why?" It appears you view everything as a kindergarten fight over who wins a game. Sad, really sad. This question deals with life and death, not a game.
