Did any of your forebears fight in any of the wars of the twentieth century?

Grandfathers or great grandfathers who went off to war, to fight against the Axis Powers or with them?

We are Sicilians and my great grandfather on my father’s side avoided joining the army with Mussolini and his cohort because of who he was and what he produced for the war economy.

My brother is a colonel in the Italian airforce and he flies Eurofighter Typhoon jets.

Both of my father in laws were in WWII in France. Neither actually saw combat.

I served in the US Navy during the Vuet Nam War, but was stationed in Iceland for 2 years.
